WHAT IS A BALANCE?
We have the two parts of the brain and one is more driven than the other due to its purpose of keeping you alive. The conscious side only thinks it’s running your life. When what you want isn’t showing up, we take a look at the beliefs in your subconscious. The subconscious side, the one actually in charge, supports the reason your lungs expand and how your body breaks down nutrition and executes disbursement, it helps heal the scratch on your skin, and it holds generations of beliefs and treasures for you to unfold.
In this section, I will share what I would balance, so that both sides want the same thing. These are the words you can use in your personal Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) session to clear the dichotomies that are keeping you from what you want.
EFT is a self-healing tapping technique. The idea behind it is that you are igniting with feeling the area of concern in its worst negative form. You let yourself feel the lousy one final time. And when you are ready to take a positive action, we integrate the goal… the positive juice, letting go of the non-supportive self-talk programmed that perpetuated the condition.
Here is something to consider: It’s at the hardest times we grow and change. The depth of a problem is the leverage that catapults us to the height of the joy. Deep issues are portals to a freedom unknown without trials and tribulations. If contrast did not exist, we could not understand and know love, joy and all goodness.
You’ve got to be thinking “it” for “it” to exist… even on a deep deep level, the place where you are or were, is now or was in your thoughts or biology somewhere. So tap it out or get help from a practitioner. I love this technique because I can do it myself. As with all my modalities, I had teachers to help me learn it properly. Other methods that are even quicker are available. Once you start, you will understand what I mean. The variety to your solution exists. The only reason someone doesn’t find a solution is that they stop looking.

Take a deep breath, choose wisely, and be ok to try a few practitioners. Add my balances (described below) if they’re not already incorporated in their session.
For sufficient nutrition–eating the proper amount of food and getting nutrition from food–you could say, “I eat enough food and I eat foods that give me sufficient nutrition. My body absorbs nutrients efficiently. I feel good when I eat healthy food. I release all signs and symptoms of craving or choosing unhealthy food first!” “This is easier than I expected.”
Having trouble sleeping? Did you know you have a system that supports your awake hours and a system that supports your sleep hours? If you aren’t sleeping when you want to, their timing needs adjustment. I would balance that, “my Sympathetic Nervous System turns off (for awake hours) at the time I choose, and my Parasympathetic Nervous System turns on (for sleep) at the same time.” Then the opposite, that “my Parasympathetic Nervous System turns off when the Sympathetic Nervous System turns back on (for your awake hours).” I always include balances that support the belief in the possibility of instant change.
When we balance, we correct beliefs at the subconscious level back to congruency with the conscious mind. You may think your body knows it heals itself naturally, but if your parent(s) gave you pills (remember Triaminic from back in the day…) every time you didn’t feel so good, chances are you shut that “healing yourself naturally” switch off long ago, believing you needed something outside you to do the job. Lovely band-aids, right? We can fix this together.
